[00:00:00] Chapter four the anthletics gym swiftly, like a climbing squirrel, Archie followed the young girl, trying his best not to be seen by her or any officer of the queen.
[00:00:29] The girl turned right, entered a store so incredibly huge it had floors galore. Archie knew he would have to race or she'd be gone without a trace.
[00:00:44] He took a deep breath and crossed the road, praying not to be squashed like a toad by the dozens of speeding automobiles with blowing horns and screeching wheels.
[00:00:58] Skillfully he dodged, ran, and jumped, reaching the mall, where he bumped into a heavily muscled security guard who ignored him with a bored regard.
[00:01:11] Mumbling an apology, he got inside, entering an atrium so posh and wide it could easily contain a soccer pitch or a giant playground for the very richest, beautiful marble lay under his feet, slippery as ice, dark as peat. To his left and right, expensive shops flaunting diamonds like dewdrops.
[00:01:40] He saw gold, silver, rubies, and pearls, precious fabrics for boys and girls, paintings, furniture, drawings and art. Toys for children, books for the smart.
[00:01:57] How he would have liked to embrace the wondrous things in this magical place. But the treasure he coveted most of all was heading for the second floor of the mall.
[00:02:15] A luxurious escalator in colored glass led the girl ant to a wall of brass that bore the name antletics Jim, an expensive club for the fit and trim.
[00:02:29] Archie sneaked after her, but alas, to enter he needed a magnetic pass.
[00:02:37] He gave the bouncers an innocent grin, stood on his tiptoes, and peered in.
[00:02:49] Athletic ants were lifting weights side by side with their best mates, doing their get into shape routines, lying flat on strange machines.
[00:03:02] Others were moving to and fro, giving them muscular legs a go, as if they were in a rowing boat out of the water, not yet afloat.
[00:03:15] Even this select kingdom of sweat had its own snobby jet set, with champion Rodney as its king, waving to his fans whilst running.
[00:03:35] Archie couldnt feel but admiration when he watched the hero of this nation running so fast and with so much skill that smoke emerged from his treadmill.
[00:03:52] As the machine creaked and hissed, a silhouette broke free from the mist. Girlant sneaked behind Rodneys back and gave him a soft kiss on the neck.
[00:04:06] This act caught Rodney on the hop. He stumbled and made a clumsy flop. The treadmill, still spinning round, threw him violently on the ground.
[00:04:19] In the club, all movement stopped, as if a bomb had just been dropped. No ant dared to speak, laugh, or grin after Rodney's ludicrous backspin.
[00:04:34] Out of this silence, a giggle arose.
[00:04:41] Who was this brave ant that chose to laugh at Rodney's predicament, risking his fury and resentment, Rodney's face grew red with rage. He clenched his fists to engage in a fight with this careless foe who dared to challenge his ego.
[00:05:04] Steaming like a train in a station, he rose to avenge his stained reputation, only to find himself eye to eye with girlant, radiant as a summer sky.
[00:05:19] Slowly, Rodney lowered his waving fist, took his girlfriend gently by the wrist, smiled, then began to laugh out loud, eagerly copied by his snobby crowd.
[00:05:36] So this is what fame does to you, Archie thought as his dislike grew for Rodney and his so called friends, copying his words, admiring his trends.
[00:05:49] How different then was girl ant not spineless like a rubber plant, but acting as she thought Fitzhe even when Rodney didnt like it. Gurland made Archie's heart beat fast, as if a strange spell had just been cast by a magical force high above.
[00:06:12] Could this be what they called love?
[00:06:17] For a moment, Archie was off guard until passing him by only a yard I girl ant left the athletics gym, fixing her beautiful eyes on him.
[00:06:31] Little Archie's blood began to rush, colouring his cheeks with a blush that soon faded away when his face appeared full screen all over the place. Dozens of flat screens in the mall broadcast images of arches fast as a hailstone from the sky, crushing wes brown. That poor guy.
[00:06:57] He saw a close up of his own head underneath a big caption that said, have you seen this runaway? Call us and win a holiday.
